iPhone Refurbishment & Reuse

Have unwanted Apple iPhones from your business, school or organisation? RenewByte helps you explore options for suitable second-hand iPhones intended for refurbishment and reuse.

Submit iPhone Enquiry

UK-wide enquiries welcome. Equipment suitability and any transfer arrangements are subject to assessment and agreement.

Current service scope: We review enquiries about suitable second-hand equipment intended for genuine reuse or minor refurbishment. Acceptance is not guaranteed. RenewByte is not currently offering WEEE waste collection, recycling or disposal, or certified data-erasure services. Please arrange appropriate data protection before any equipment transfer.

Giving Unwanted iPhones a Second Life

Businesses and organisations regularly replace iPhones as their technology requirements change.

Some retired iPhones may still be suitable for refurbishment and reuse. We are not currently accepting devices for waste disposal.

RenewByte aims to prioritise extending the useful life of suitable devices wherever practical.

iPhones We Can Assess

Acceptance depends on model, condition, ownership, quantity, location and available arrangements.

Older iPhone Models

Previous-generation iPhones that may still be suitable for reuse.

Recent iPhone Models

Newer iPhones retired during organisational equipment refreshes.

iPhones Needing Minor Repairs

iPhone Data Security & Activation Lock

iPhones may contain personal information, business emails, photographs, contacts and account credentials.

Before transferring an iPhone, organisations should ensure that appropriate data erasure arrangements have been agreed.

Find My and Activation Lock can prevent an iPhone from being prepared for a new owner. These restrictions should be removed by the authorised owner before reuse.

Organisation-managed iPhones may also be assigned through Apple Business Manager or Apple School Manager. Relevant management assignments should be reviewed and released where appropriate.

iPhone Battery Safety

iPhones contain rechargeable lithium-ion batteries that require suitable handling during storage and transport.

Devices with swollen, leaking, overheating or visibly damaged batteries should be identified before any equipment transfer is arranged. Do not charge or attempt to dismantle a damaged battery.
