Responsible Tablet Refurbishment & Reuse
Tablets are widely used in schools, businesses and other organisations. Over time, devices may be replaced because of changing requirements, software compatibility or hardware condition.
Some retired tablets may remain suitable for refurbishment and reuse. Waste devices are outside our current acceptance scope.
RenewByte aims to prioritise reuse wherever practical and assess equipment individually.

Appropriate data erasure arrangements should be agreed before devices are transferred. The correct procedure depends on the device model and security requirements.
Apple iPads may be protected by Activation Lock or assigned through Apple School Manager or Apple Business Manager.
Android tablets may also have factory reset protection or organisational management restrictions. These should be addressed by authorised owners before devices are prepared for reuse.

Please identify tablets with swollen, leaking, overheating or visibly damaged batteries during your enquiry. Do not charge or attempt to dismantle a damaged battery.
